Services
If you are looking for a budget-friendly, low-key, rural recording experience, or a remote producer—Holy Crick Records, LLC may be just the place for you!
With an artist-friendly, collaborative-based approach in mind, we’ve developed our recording method by combining decades of study in home, studio, and field recording techniques. Our equipment is designed to be mobile, as we’re interested in capturing artists in their natural habitats, meaning we’d like to record you in the space you feel most comfortable—that may be your living room, your grandparent's old barn, or a few miles out in the middle of the woods.
We can accommodate a variety of group sizes and musical genres, though, it’s not a bad idea to listen to our catalogue to get a taste of what we do best. If you’ve got a project that you’re ready to capture—reach out, and let us help you make it a reality!

Holy Crick Records Service List
-
Our recording services are custom-fit based on the needs of each project.
HCR’s method is pretty simple; put the artist(s) in front of excellent quality microphones, and hit record.
We have a variety of professional quality microphones, a few good mixers, and a couple decent engineers that can be available to capture your sounds—your music, your book narration, or voice-over project.
We primarily offer digital 24-track recording, though we rely on many analog recording techniques to maintain the feel of old-school with the benefits of digital technologies. We do have 4-track cassette recording available for the daring. Feel free to ask about methods and approaches that may best suit your work.
For more information about gear, please reach out through the contact form!

Our recording services are designed to be “self-produced” by the artist, engineered by HCR, LLC.
If you would like us to produce your project as well, please specify on the contact form, and we can talk more about what that means. We can do this remotely, or in-person depending on your project.
All of the engineers at HCR are also musicians, producers, and visual artists, offering different lenses and ears to see and hear your project.
-
As mentioned, our recording services are designed to be “self-produced” by the artist, engineered by HCR, LLC. Meaning our recording engineers can be just that, the person that records your project, then we give you the raw files and you do what you wish concerning the final mix—DIY, send it to your favorite producer—of course, HCR is happy to mix your recordings, as well.
-
Please specify if you only need consultation on a project on the contact form with a brief description as to why you’re seeking our advice.
As we may’ve mentioned: all of the engineers at HCR are also musicians, producers, and visual artists, offering different lenses and ears to see and hear your project.
Sometimes you just need an outside perspective to offer a new approach for starting or wrapping a project.
-
HCR artists are all primarily self-taught musicians with varying degrees of proficiencies on an exceptionally wide range of instruments; including but not limited to: acoustic and electric guitar, bass, and banjo, drums, percussion, piano, keyboards from melodica to synthesizers, harmonicas, and more!
If one of us can’t play what you’re looking for, we’ll do our best to find some one who can.
Whether you want a rhythm section, a lead part, or a combination, we’re here to make good music for good people.
